KALEIDESCOPES & ABSTRACTION

Kaleidescope Series

Guirado's Kaleidoscope series was painted in the 1990s and form part of his most appreciated and collected works. During the 90s Guirado decided to experiment on larger canvas' and use acrylic instead of oil paint creating large abstract Intrarealism works. He started to use a spatial and instead if his signature technique of diluting the oil paint to build up paper-thin layers and dimensions he used tried to create a thought process to enlarge many of his 'layers of kaleidoscopic universes' found within his past work and create magnified close-ups, like looking at them through a microscope.
