Rediscovered Geniuses | Guirado Estate Exhibitions- London 2024
Rediscovered Geniuses celebrates visionary artists whose brilliance was hidden, forgotten, or overlooked—until now. At its centre is Spanish painter Juan Antonio Guirado, the master of Intra-realismo, whose luminous, symbolic works once captivated international audiences before vanishing from the spotlight. Through the dedication of the Guirado Estate, his archive has been revived, revealing a body of work as urgent and relevant today as at its creation. This exhibition brings together rare paintings from private collections, museum archives, and the artist’s own studio, offering a rare opportunity to encounter the power of a genius rediscovered.

Visionarios en Paralelo – University of Jaén 2018
In 2018, the University of Jaén hosted Visionarios en Paralelo (Parallel Visionaries), a landmark exhibition celebrating the work of Juan Antonio Guirado, the master of Intra-realismo, alongside Spain’s most celebrated modern masters, including Picasso, Miró, and Tàpies. Born in Jaén, Guirado developed a distinctive style that fused social commentary, spiritual symbolism, and a unique visual language.
